On a Lariat or above, the rubber section being removed after the box is lowered in the video isn't rubber. It's molded plastic "wood". 5 plastic clips secure it and it's a wrestling match to get out with marring it or worse.

Ok I just went out on lunch break and dropped just the glove box--took about 15-20 minutes to get the filter in/out, yes you have to bend the filter a little, but does not harm anything----all buttoned back up without tearing anything else apart! I did have to use a screwdriver to help the tabs get back in place because the filter door cannot pivot down but other than that it can be done---

That way just seems like it would cause fitment issues with the trim pieces above the glovebox if you change it out on fairly regular intervals.
I'll try to make sure that my Platinum piece will not break by not removing it when changing the cheaper filter by just only dropping the lower portion of the glove box.

What is the Part # of the 2015 platinum glove box wood trim? If in case I'm removing mine and will break.

Maybe I should make a quick video on how to change it out without removing the upper portion of the glovebox...it isn't difficult at all and you just need a small flathead screwdriver to loosen/reposition the lower tabs.

If someone in the Northern Va area needs to change their cabin air filter and wants to help make a quick video on how to change it without removing the upper glove box let me know. We can do everything in my garage.
