I did, i also bought the one i bought from amazon per someones recommendation on here because it was INSANELY cheap. I ordered 5 of them because there was a minimum order but now i can change them once a year.

Its the suction point for the system, just like in your house. Thats why your answer to remove it was so baffling...

If I may offer a tip, if you have one of the trim models with the flat trim piece in front of the screws (Carbon Fiber or Wood), pick up a set of non-marking trim removal tools off of Amazon. 5-piece kit for roughly $20.

They are good if you travel dusty dirt roads alot. At work my old truck without a filter would get covered in sawdust regularly, and it would get sucked into the vents. Every time you turned on the heat/cooling fan it would snow inside the cab.

The nearest dealer if a half hour away so it's much quicker and easier to do it myself.
After watching a "How To" video on youtube it only took me about 10 minutes to change
