Default Cab gets muggy

Hello, I'm new to the group and I'm hoping someone could help me figure out what is going on with my 2016 F-150 xlt. If it is sitting in my driveway or at in the parking lot and it rains, the cab gets incredible humid. So much so that the windows fog up so much you can see the little suction cup marks on the windshield from when the factory installed it. Anyways, when I open the door it's like a sauna in there. Are the new 150s just sealed up so well that any moisture has nowhere to go? This just started happening within the last few weeks, I have never had any other cars do this. Before you ask, I have never left the windows down during the rain and I never leave wet car wash towels in the cab. The interior has never been wet.

Let me guess......you have a moonroof ? The way they are designed water leaks in to the channels then drains through tubes. That water in the channels leads to the high humidity in the truck. Really not much you can do about it.
Ford likes to say " working as designed "

there are other threads about this.

i have a 16 xlt 301a. my truck feels muggy when opening the door even on chilly october mornings. but it doesn't feel wet, i don't get moister on the inside. for me i think that it has something to do with the cloth seat material don't ask just something in my head leads me to that.

if you are getting moister inside, and after reading some of the other posts about this issue i would have it checked out.

I left my '16 truck in a few storms and do not have the sauna effect.

Another member had a post about the same humidity problem and it turned out he had water ingress.

My suggestion is to have someone with a water hose drench outside areas of the cabin and you look inside for the ingress. It may be behind the back seats. Good luck with it.
