Default build type?

I ma been seeing people put there build type in may of these threads, and I cannot figure out where I am to find this. It would be something like 300A, 501A as an example. 2 questions how can I tell what mine is, and how can I see what should have been listed in this build. I bought my truck used, and have owned only a ford truck, but have never seen this before I joined this section of the forum. Any help i greatly appreciated.

It should be on your window sticker. If you don't have it try entering your VIN here and see if it pulls it up. https://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Numb...cker/Ford.html

Typed in my VIN and it didn't give any results, says "window sticker hasn't been released for this vehicle."

Mine does that as well, but mine was imported from Canada so that may be why, not sure about yours. Next option would probably be contacting the dealer you purchased from or another local ford dealer that may be able to pull it up in their systems.

Give the forum decoder a try too: https://www.f150forum.com/vindecoder.php

What you are looking for as the "window" sticker is a Monroney Label.

https://monroneylabels.com/

Its like $7.

That’s where it’s coming from.

mine is a 2020 F150 XLT FX4 Max tow 302A if it really matters.

looks like a butt ugly red pickup to me.

yes, I’m having it wrapped to a color I like. As much to protect the original paint as anything from driving it in the woods.

As others said, it represents the trim level. You can pay for one online or ask your local service dept with your VIN and have them give you one for free.

If you describe your options and features with some photos we could probably tell you with reasonable accuracy what package you have...
