Bogging / laboring
Anyone having this issue and if so has anyone done a tune to remedy it.?
To start in in a 15 3.5l boost not sure of my rear gear.
Wile driving around 37-43mph in 5 gear around 1100-1300 ROM I hit a slight incline depress the throttle some more to keep speed and I get the bogging engine laboring. I step on the throttle a bit more to hopefully get the turbos to help out and it labors even more I have to kick the throttle about 25% + to get it to go down a gear to stop the bogging or if I'm thinking about it I will manually shift the truck into 4th in the problem areas on my daily drive to and from work.
I know bogging the engine is not good for the bottom end so I would like to solve the issue before it becomes a bigger issue.
So has anyone had or have this issue and solved it with a tune? If so what programmer and whose tunes?
Thanks in advance

Put it in sport mode and things will get better. I have the same issue... they're trying to improve MPG, but mine will drop into 6th at ~45MPH and ~1100RPM. Meh.
I'll be tuning it once the warranty is up.

These trucks are programmed with shift points to maximize fuel efficiency. You are wanting to drive the truck around town at higher rpms for a more enjoyable driving experience. To get the RPMs up around town, some on this board have done one or more of the following:
- Lock out top gears (as you have done).
- Drive in sport mode (easy solution, but introduces engine braking and its own sometimes-too-aggressive shift pattern)
- Drive in Manual mode - made more fun with the Raptor steering wheel with paddle shifters mod.
- Gear Swap to 3.55 or 3.73
- Aftermarket Tune
It's up to you to decide which one or more above is right for your driving style and desires (and wallet)...

gear swap isn't going to change the transmission's shift points. Either hit the gas enough to make it downshift, or chill.
in 5th gear at that speed, the rpm is too low for it to be generating boost, and really, you don't want to force it to make boost that low anyway.

I believe With the 10 speed - top gear with a 3.55 rear axle is lower than top gear in the 6 speed with the 3.31

I didn't think the 2015's had the sport mode and only started in 2016. Maybe i am confusing with something else.
I agree that it isn't the rear differential's fault on the bogging down issue. Mine does this as well and I either put in Sport mode or lock out top gears. My current truck as the 3.31 and my previous F150 had the 3.73. Both bogged down in the same spots. So as already said I think it's the shift points. Either just keep it in Sport mode (if equipped) or get a tune.
