BMS Setting
I have an H6(48) AGM in my truck. When I replace it, might pop a H8(49) in its place. I know I need to reset the BMS with Forscan, my question is will the menu allow me to select the new CCA of the H8? 850 vs. 760.

tvsjr's comment: It would be interesting for someone with a 3.0PSD to pull theirs... those trucks come with an H8, but I don't know if it's flooded or AGM. "02" is an H7... need to find the magic code for AGM H8.
My 2019 XLT 3.0 Power Stroke diesel has the OEM FoMoCo 850 CCA AGM battery (BAGM-49H8-850) and, via FORScan, shows in the BCM memory location 726-04-01 the code 0301 0000 093F. Based on this info, it appears the code for the 850 CCA AGM is "03" in the first two characters of BCM memory location 726-04-01.

- 01 = BAGM-48H6-760;
- 02 = BAGM-94H7-800;
- 03 = BAGM-49H8-850 (instead of BAGM-48H6-610)
Forscan won't show you the list... that's a screenshot out of the Forscan doc stickied in this forum.
Based on JLW's findings, it seems like the right answer is to upgrade to an H8 AGM and set the code to 03 if you're running BMS. May as well have the biggest battery that will fit.

JLW-IA How did you read 726-04-01 parameter fully? I have aliexpress adapter and forscan with full licence. For my car, ford focus 3 restyling it shows only 2 cells where is written 0100-33 instead of 3 cells with 4 symbol in each. Can you add a screenshot please? which adapter and which car do you have?

I don't have a screenshot of the BCM memory addresses and values. However, the first post in this thread https://www.f150forum.com/f118/forsc...-truck-348987/ has a link to using FORScan (on google docs). In that google docs document, the instructions for "Programming - Advanced Method" describe how to access modules, their memory addresses, and (see / change) their values.
What actually does changing this in Forscan do?
I'm about to upgrade my battery to a H8 and want to make sure I do it correctly. I know I can reset BMS by flashing brights 5 times and pushing brake 3 times but what does the change using Forscan do?
