Default Bluetooth stopped working

hey guys I have a 2018 STX and I just recently had to get a new stock radio (I roasted my original wiring up my amp, stupid I know) anyways I was able to find another stock radio from a 2015 off eBay for $60 and everything works except when I get phone calls I can’t hear anything through the speakers at all. I can see my text notifications when using car play and then when not plugged in it connects via Bluetooth and I can play Spotify trough just Bluetooth but no dice on the phone. Also it shows up on my screen when I get a phone call and it switches me over to the radio from Bluetooth audio when I get a call.

It says i have sync 2.4 I’m assuming I need to update it, I just haven’t done that yet. Anyone know if this will solve my problem by chance?

Did you replace the radio or the screen?

Probably need to update the values in the new ACM you replaced. Do you have Forscan? If you do, pull up the values you have in the ACM.

I replaced just the headunit. So just the CD player. Everything else was fine.

So I'll ask the question that makes me sound like I'm insinuating you're not intelligent. Sorry for asking.

Is the Bluetooth volume on the phone turned down by any chance?

Also, did you delete the previous stereo from your phone and start fresh?

haha I don’t blame you for asking that. Yes Bluetooth volume is turned all the way and it works with my Bluetooth headset so I know it’s not my phone.

And yea I deleted the previous truck and added this one. And i did a reset by unplugging the battery too because I read that fixednit for some people googling through forums.

I have the usb OBD2 port and I’m signing up to the FORscan forum today.

Do you see the ACM module? Use the video to help but click the ACM module (as built format)

I have a 2018 STX, and I replaced the ACM to get Sirius/XM. I bought one from Ebay from a 2016 F-150 (if I recall). Anyway, used Forscan to activate Sirius and it worked instantly. But when I'd get a call, instead of being able to answer, it would just ring, the soft buttons were inop, etc. And it would leave the radio in a different condition than it was.

I looked at the Forscan spreadsheet, and checked the settings for ACM 727:

It was set to 727-01-01 5xxx and the spreadsheet said "5=Int SDARS enabled & APIM gen1 & EFP CAN based & APIM available"

There was also an option for "1=Int SDARS enabled & APIM gen2 & EFP CAN based & APIM available"

so I tried changing 727-01-01 5xxx to 727-01-01 1xxx, and the phone via bluetooth started working fine.

Hope this helps.
