I'm having the same issue in my 2016. I thought it had to do with my new iPhone Xs but after reading this post I'm thinking it could be the radio that is the problem. I have around 35K miles thank god!

what you need to do is fight politely. don't go storming up and down the service department cussing and making a scene.

State your case, how you had it looked at prior to the warranty ending, and now it failed completely and you are left high and dry. Do you usually go to said dealer for everything or just warranty work?

also if i may ask, what is the dealer? I'm originally from the york area

Oh yea, calm here. I used Gene Latta Ford in Hanover, however I have since moved to Greenville SC in the last 4 months. I used to own a lexus GX and they actually replaced my entire dash way after my warranty because it was a known defect just like this one.....I think if I get a dealer that helps and does not go against me, Ford will be persuaded to help.

Wondering if you have any fuel that I can add or a way to approach them about getting goodwill assistance...this is a new Ford shop for me since I moved to Greenville sc....They seemed very reluctant to help me over the phone, however I have an appointment for next Tuesday for them to look at it. Any good facts that I can approach them with to appeal to Ford??

bring any and all paperwork you have concerning the issue, and if the dealer still fights you, then call ford customer service and explain the situation.

thanks...this is the first time that I will be taking it in for this...however all my records for anything are at Gene Latta Ford if they have any questions...I know Lexus has a global network where they can see it, not sure if Ford does. Do you think there is any benefit to call Ford before I go in??

ford, does have a global system IF the repair was submitted to ford for payment. And you could call ford before you go in, won't hurt anything
