bluetooth
Update for the IVTteam - got the truck back, reset the iPad, no luck. I just did a master reset of the Sync system this morning, repaired all Bluetooth devices, and it is still not reconnecting automatically upon restart. It should be noted this same iPad had no trouble reconnecting to the Sync system in a rental 2016 Explorer, so it would appear to me the problem is isolated to my system. Is there a way for me to reinstall the most recent Sync update/system without going to the dealer? Their service department has lost my trust.
I have a Motorola Moto X Gen2 and have not had any repairing issues. Phone always connects if bluetooth is on. Music starts back that was previously streaming, if I didnt kill the app. If you go to syncmyride.com and login, are there any updates or a reload option?
That's the thing - it always worked flawlessly before this last update. I don't think it updated properly, so I'd like to wipe it off and try again. Syncmyride just says I'm up to date.
EDIT: I am now re-reading the update and it says it's compatible with SD nav cards up to A5. I have an A6...I wonder if that could in any way influence my issues.

The 3.8 update is compatible with the A6 SD card, and the issue is not related. You're unable to download the update again on your own. You will need to go to the dealer to have them reprogram the system. I know you said this issue occurred with the most recent update, but does your phone have issues automatically reconnecting for Bluetooth Audio?

I have the BT Stereo option turned off for the phone, so I'm not sure. I do know that it reconnects perfectly as the phone. I can try and turn the BT Stereo option on and see if it reconnects. The truck is going back to the dealer in a couple weeks, so we will see if they can reprogram the system. Any idea how long that takes?
Bumping this for the Ford IVT team. I just received my truck back from the service department who supposedly did a "reprogram", but I have my doubts. Further, the Bluetooth issue is still there even though they said it was fixed.
My question for the IVT team - if a dealer truly "reprograms" SYNC - shouldn't my phone and other Bluetooth devices be wiped off, along with all radio presets, settings, etc? Even a master reset does this. However, when I got in my truck all my stuff was still there - background, phone, iPad, presets, etc. I do not think my dealer performed the correct function. Can you help???

Please send me a PM with your name, email, VIN, phone number, and address. I'll take a look.
