I don't think something that's been around for 30+ years should be called a trend. Similar to 20" wheels, which are the new 17" wheels. This is the only thing I have black wheels on:

Just my opinion, but let a guy use whatever color/finish "HE" likes. Some body colors, black just works better. One of my trucks, black works, on the 150, black would work, but grey or bronze work better, IMO. Some colors can use a few diifferent.

And now, my 7th SCab all told.

Chrome is for those too lazy to maintain polished aluminum. Black is for those too lazy to maintain chrome. When the polished aluminum wheels on my bike and hot rod can't be made to look good any longer, I'm going for black.

Saying black wheels is a "trend" is as stupid as saying all white trucks look like work trucks.

Just swaping style, color sometimes dosent do much For the appearance. Sometimes it looks worse. Just my opinion. Ask to have those wheels photo shoped onto that pic of your truck there are guys here that will do it for you. That will realy help you see the change. Good luck hope you find what your looking for.
the running boards on that truck don't scream CHROME either. So that helps offset the colors

Please tell us how you really feel about black wheels lol You go and mention name callers calling you names but in your first sentence you go and call names and to end it off you go and say nothing bothers you but for some reason the color of a wheel on another mans truck has your panties all wadded up... So what if they're followers or not lol Are we followers for driving an F150

The trend of pickups as daily drivers (and also the trend of pickup as the top seller) will die before the trend of black wheels.

Meanwhile, kaki colored pants and blue jeans will outlast it all
