Default Bed lights

I am new to the forum and just bought my first new F 150. Magnetic gray STX 4X4 with the 2.7L EB. I love the truck but It did not come with any bed lights in it and was wondering if there are any good aftermarket lights that anyone is using. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Have you done a "search" of the threads looking for bed lights? Love to see some pictures of your ride...

I had one of these led strips in my old Tacoma. They’re bright as can be and won’t break the bank.

I tied it up to the outlet for the tow hitch. I had a friend of mine help me with it. I didn’t wanna mess up any wiring . He knew what he was doing. But it worked well. The strip comes with an on/off switch so you can place it in the bed close to the gate if you want.

Here it is. I drive about 120 miles a day and really wanted something that was reliable and got decent gas mileage. I have been through 4 other work cars and my kids are going to take over my Chevy Malibu since they are getting their drivers licenses (I have triplets turning 16). So far it has been good to me. 22-23 MPG on highway. Trying not to get into the turbos too much but it is fun to do.

Not sure what year is your truck, but in case you choose to use the factory parts or a combination of factory stuff/aftermarket items to retain factory look/functionality.

There are 2 choices really, aftermarket or oem. If you bought your truck brand new you should have a bunch of Ford Pass points and could buy the oem light kit with your points. I just recently bought the Mictuning kit, just like the one in the post above. I got mine on an eBay auction for about $15 shipped. I spent about another 25 on wire, wire loom, connectors and shrink tube. I wired mine directly to the battery. I have a bed cover and attached the light strips to the cover rail. The lights are plenty bright and light up the entire bed.

Led strip lights are easy to install and very bright, it is a great choice for you.
