I am looking for a bed extender for my 2016 Lariat... I found a bunch of thread on the OEM extender, but nothing comparing OEM to aftermarket bed extenders. Is the plastic OEM worth the extra cost as compared to metal aftermarket extenders? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

 

I have the Ford Accessory extender on both of my trucks and it is very useful. The great part is how it can separate and fold away on the sides. It's quite durable

 

I use it all the time to make a separate space inside the bed.
The OEM is a great fit.

 

Most of the time I use mine to keep stuff from sliding to the front of the bed.

 

This is my 2nd F150 using the OEM bed extender. Use if all the time and it works great for stopping stuff from sliding forward........... Not inexpensive however!

 

I have the RollX cover... will the OEM bed extender flip ok with that?

 

It should work but I would check with the manufacture just to make sure. Perhaps someone on here has that type bedcover with oem bed extender?

 

Any else have OEM bed extender and RollX? I assume the extender can fold and unfold in the extender position with no issue... but I am curious if it can flip into the inside position with the RollX rail and latch there?

I am hoping, at least, that they can be mounted and used in extension mode without interfering with Revolver cover... but I just called BAK and they said in stowed position it interferes... meaning I can't use it at all... I did not think it came up that high. I'd really appreciaet feedback from someone who has experience with the OEM extender and the Revolver cover.
