Default Bed Divider

Was wondering if anyone has come up with a more cost effective bed divider than the Ford Accessory (~$300 at the Ford Accessories store)?

I'm planning a vacation in March and would like to be able to put luggage in the bed (which is covered by a tonneau cover) without having to climb inside the bed to chase it down!!

Thanks in advance.

PS - I did try the search function for "divider" but got so many threads I gave up looking through them all!!

Default Use a 2x4

There are slots on both sides of your bed near the tailgate. If you have a bed liner there should be at least one slot on either side. Cut a 2x4 to length and slide it in. Voila!

About $3. Got one in my 2015 F150 and my 2011 Silverado. They work great.

My wife and I took a three week trip across the US and used plastic totes with lesser used 'stuff'... a nice long piece of paracord tied off near the tailgate was all we needed!

Here's my invention. It gives about 21" secluded at the back of the bed. The brackets I made are for a 2X piece of lumber. I used a 2X8. I'll post more pictures tomorrow of the finished product.

It was critical to my needs to have at least 21". I just got used to using a board in my previous truck.
