Looks very nice, with good looking welds. I'm just throwing this out there....please no flames. Do you think if you had some heavy object in your bed, and it suddenly shifted (worst case scenario...an accident), that the horizontal force against your board might rip the bolts out through the floor of the bed?? I mean, I wonder if the metal right in that area would withstand the sideways force, seeing as how Ford probably only put reinforcements behind the cleats (and I'm sure some other areas of higher stress). Anyway....just a thought....

Edit: On 2nd thought, with the plates underneath you should be fine with no rip-outs....might just end up with it bent on an angle though.
(and as Roseanne Roseannadanna said........"never mind"....)

That's a valid point. I often carry boxes that are contained in this area. The tool box is heavy but it's against the board and really can't build any momentum. If I'm carrying anything heavy or oversized I just lay the board to the side. It works great for my needs. Sometimes comes in handy to have a 2X8 handy.

On a 2015+, those nuts and bolts need to all be made of the proper metal...
