bed differences

i'm looking to put a 2014 metal bed on my 2016 ford which the bed is aluminum will it work??

I am sure the mounting holes wont line up for starters why would you want to put a steel bed on it?

No it won't work. The rear of the cab prior to 2015 was flat, and so was the bed wall at the front. The 2015+ cabs have a curve to it, and the bed's wall also has a curve. If you put a 2014 bed on, it'll be either very close, touching, or pushed into the rear cab wall.
