Default Bed difference between 11-14 and the 15+

How much of a difference is there between the beds for the liner and topper? There is a pretty good chance my 14 will be totaled, but the topper survived, and I have a bed rug in there.

I believe that the bed lengths are very similar and width. I remember seeing a few members that modified their tonneau covers from 11-14's to fit their 15's when they were new. I believe they had to trim 1/4" or so off the side rails for that. Not sure if the issue was caused by the tailgate being a bit bigger or what?

I also believe I have seen the toppers from older trucks on the 15's, but the tailgate mesh point between the topper and the tailgate looks odd/didn't fitwell at all because of the tailgate design.

Good luck on the search for the new truck. Glad that you made it through the crash ok!

I put a 2014 soft fold cover on my sons 2016 XLT with no issues. There may be more of an issue with covers that fit in between the rails ;e.g. Bakflip as the tolerances may not allow for that, but on top of the rails shouldn't be an issue.

Any modifications to it?
Is it the model that sits in between the rails?

No mods and yes the one that sits between rails. And it was actually on my 11 I moved to 13 then to 15.

I took my cover off my 14 and put it on my 16 fits even better on 16. But the oem rubber mat for the 14 did not fit correctly in the bottom of the 16 bed.

Actually I am referring to this as the topper, I used to call it a cap, but then everyone thought I was talking about the bakflip type covers.

So the wheel wells come in deeper. Then the bed rug wont fit at all, so looks like that I will have to sell. I know the door wont work on the tail gate, but what about the other dimensions?
