I’ve never ran the KO2 but it is the one tire that I consistently recall reading about balancing issues.

I had the Costco shop where i bought mine check lugnut torque before a road trip recently, and they were very surprised to find that two of my tires already needed to be re-balanced with only 5k miles on the set. I hadn’t noticed any issues prior to that, and they’re still riding smooth and quiet at 6k. Fingers crossed that it was a fluke thing, although after reading your posts...

Ive always stayed away from them since they are supposedly not the best when it comes to wet pavement.

I had Ridge Grapplers on my 2017 for a month, i liked them, they were a little noisier then the Terra Grapplers, but compared to stock, they made the F150 feel like a F350. I will say i went from stock to a Bilstein level and put the biggest tires i could on 18 inch stock rims...so going from stock to an oversized LT tire on an 18 inch rim might have contributed. Since then i switched to OEM 20 inch wheels and Terra Grapplers and dont have any complaints. I went with the P275/65 20 so i got them in a "P" rated...LT were too heavy

If you haven't, do yourself a favor and take a look at Falken Wildpeak AT3W. I have 17k miles on mine and they are a great tire that's comparable in looks to the BFG. Big bonus - they are cheaper and (at least for me) perform better than the BFGs, especially way better in the wet.

33s - 285/70R17. I bought P-Metrics because I rarely tow heavy loads and wanted the better daily ride. I have towed heavy several times with them and they handled the task fine when aired up to 50 psi on the rear and 45 on the front. I run 35 front and 33 rear when unloaded.

I had 20" OEM Hankook ATMs. The Falkens will go places in 2X that I had to use 4X with the Hankooks. In short, muddy situations I can most times just lock the e-locker and walk right through.

@BadAV Thanks for info.

I am just looking to replace my 35x12.5x20's Open Country TOYO R/T with something a little less noisy on the highway. Up to last night I thought the BFG KO2 was my go to replacement. it may still be that. My needs are light off road and the beach from time to time. Most of its life is on the roads and highways. I live in NC so snow isn't an issue (maybe once or twice a year)
There are many brands out there and perhaps I should put my search back into the "hybrid" line which may not be as quiet as the BFG but no issues as well. I just dont want to be that guy that gets those issues while most people do not. Ok I iwill get off my rant
