I purchased my MX4 today from Carid. Got it for $880. I want to get it professionally installed. Does anybody know a price range for this? I have 3 dealers that I emailed next to me. However, I want to make sure that I am not getting destroyed with price gouging since I didn't buy from them.
That being said... we charge $50 to install a BAKFlip at our stores. Takes us about 30 minutes... We don't install outside products though.. You may find that many dealers won't do it...
If they charge much more than that I would just do it yourself if that's an option as its not difficult at all... Other option is we have had customers we shipped to use a local body shop, etc as they often remove and reinstall bed covers so are generally experienced...

Ouch! I hope that's $880 Canadian? I paid $705 USD shipped to my door. Also had it and a bak box installed for $50 at a local shop. They couldn't come close to that price but didn't mind installing it.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy your MX4? $880-$900USD seems to be the going rate nowadays.

I got mine from AutoAnything.com . The price was $765 +tax. $824 w free shipping. It arrived in 2 days. I live in So Cal. They seemed willing to negotiate a little on the price via the live chat function on their website.

In all seriousness though this is why we recommend talking to your insurance agency to see if aftermarket accessories are covered. I cannot tell you how many calls a day we field on insurance claims for all types of products.
