Default Backup camera issue

This morning pulling into work, threw the truck into reverse and this was my view from the backup camera. I backed into my spot, put the truck in park, and back into reverse, same result. Repeated these steps several times and the result was the same. Anyone ever experience this?

i would imagine camera or APIM issue. I would take it to the dealer and see what they come up with.

Mine has done this to me TWICE now! The first time it fixed by the time I turned it on again after a few hours. It did it again last night, I was about to start a new thread on it when I decided to search first. Lol. What ended up happening with this???

Loose harness on the tailgate wiring? I would check that first, and check if water got in it.

I could see a loose harness, but it hasn't rained here in about a week so I don't think it's a water issue. I've seen a few people saying the APIM was suspect, but nobody posted a fix. I tend to lean towards the APIM considering mine will randomly disconnect and then reconnect my phone. Or randomly just disconnect my phone. Resetting the APIM makes it go back to normal. Ford reps on here made it seem like that was normal and to be expected...

I’ve only had it happen once and didn’t take it to the dealer. It’s on my list of stuff to get checked out when I do head in.

Gotcha. I already need to take mine in, I've got a fog light that's not cracked, but leaking water. I REALLY don't want someone jacking around with my truck though...

I was really hoping someone had a fix, that way when I go in I can push for it to be streamlined and show what the problem is. Lol
