Automatic Headlights
Have any of you experienced your headlights constantly turning on and off while in the auto position? I've had my truck less than a week and the last two nights driving home I would say its not dusk yet but the sun was fairly low causing some shady areas. My lights must have went on and off 15-20 times during my commute. I don't see a sensitivity setting anywhere so I don't think it can be adjusted. Anyone else have this issue? Very annoying as the navigation screen constantly changes as well.
Most likely your headlights are not going on or off, it's just your dash. There is a brightness adjustment in the settings section, and I believe there are other adjustments as well. Maybe that might help.

I will look into this. I didn't realize it could just be a sensor to darken the dash. Still odd that it would kick on and off so much.
My dash goes bright/dark randomly throughout the day. I am pretty sure it senses how much light is available and dims/brightens accordingly. It will change under a bridge sometimes, or going by a shaded area, it's really random. Sometimes it catches me off guard and I think something went wrong, but I am now pretty sure it's just auto dim. It doesn't affect headlight though.
There is a setting in your 8" display to change this guys. Mine was set to auto when I first got it and it was doing the same thing as you describe. Just pick a brightness setting that you like and leave it.

Can't you just put them in manual mode and carry on?
I find those systems don't detect oncoming cars early enough. I was riding with my wife grandfather in his new ride with automatic headlights and it didn't switch to lows until the cars were quite close. Half of them were flashing him. This was dark unlit country roads too, so no reason for the camera to not pick them up.

Like I noted before, what the OP is experiencing is his dash lights brightening and dimming as he drives during the day from sunny to shady spots in the road [it's not his headlights, they are on a different sensor].
I noticed this as well when I first got my truck. The default setting on the dash is full brightness, actually it's pretty glaring at night. I turned the brightness down so during the day, the change from bright to dim is minimal and not as noticeable. If any change is annoying, you can switch the automatic dimming off. Set it at a brightness that works well during the day and at night and you'll be set.
