Default Auto stop replacement switch

Anyone have the thread from a member who was selling an auto stop deactivation switch which you could push to keep the auto stop from working? It quit in the default switch location?

I use the Auto stop Eliminator and after 3 years it's never failed me yet. Well worth the purchase. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to any of my friends or family. This one actually remembers your last setting; so if you want it on, you just leave it on and when the truck starts up it is still on... if you want it off it remembers your "off" setting and will remain off every time you turn on your vehicle. I personally leave mine in the off position and literally never have to think about it anymore.

Likewise. It perfectly solves the problem of *** defaulting back to ON every time you start the truck. Took 5 minutes to install.

The AutoStart Stop Eliminator is a plug in harness that goes in between the A.S.S. Switch and it’s wiring harness. About $100 and well worth the loss of aggravation. You do have to pull the radio bezel off (check Utube videos to learn how) and squish the extra wiring and module in (it’s pretty snug under there). The A.S.S. Switch remains in the selected mode. You do get a “A.S.S. Disabled by driver” message on start up if left disabled.

Why don't you just disable it via forscan? I've had mine done this way trouble free for well over a year. Assuming you have the cable to connect your computer to the OBD port its free to do. Even if you don't have the cable, ordering it is still much cheaper than the eliminator kit and forscan is free. The forscan sticky shows you the changes to make to disable it. Just an idea, I know some folks don't like messing with computers/forscan.

That is an option, so is unplugging a plug down by brake pedal (although it disables trailer lights if that is important)
I wanted the option to monthly press the button and turn it back on, and see that all is working as it should.
One big tell sign that a battery is going bad is the electronics will not let the trucks auto / stop operate, it will say 'charging' or something like that.

I tow at least once a week so that wouldn't work very well in my case. If your battery is starting to go and you have the start stop disabled in forscan it will also display "system off to preserve battery" or something similar to that on your sync display when you get in the truck after its been sitting a bit. Mine just started doing that when it's very cold out and the truck has been sitting overnight. I tested the battery and it is on its way out.
