if you have the fan on... the engine needs to be running. also if the car isn't warmed up i find it doesn't start.

 

Long story, and all details are described in the thread. But I appreciate your response, however... that's not the issue. All the parameters have been met, and the function works erratically. Some times it work perfectly, and other times it doesn't. The dealership has acknowledged there's a problem, but it's going to be a while before I can get it in there, so for now, I'm just depressing the override switch. Not that big of an issue for now, while it's now down below freezing every day. If it doesn't get addressed until spring, so be it.
