Anyone regret getting the 3.5 Ecoboost and wish they could trade for a 5.0?

What I said was fact. Whether you are salty about it or not. it was to about 75 mph or so and he did not come out against the brake with any boost and it was nothing but an impromptu punch from a light we happened to see each other at but the fact remains the 2.7's are not nearly as fast as some here make em out to be, I found out.
Honestly, I don't care that much. 14's is fast enough for me in a truck... but didn't you say you had 3 lengths on him by 5th gear (meaning you topped out 4th) and now it was only to about 75mph?

so like, 75mph give or take 40-50mph?

If two vehicles are close in terms of power (and they are) I'd give the edge to the one with the better gears.

I'm on my second EB F150. It is well engineered, dependable and powerful. I really don't notice any difference in the sound. Here in our Texas heat we usually drive with our windows rolled up and the air conditioner running full blast. I also keep the front seat cooler on my 17 KR. So I might not hear the exhaust note others are talking about.

Aw but my "racing" lawnmower has a twin cylinder 18 horsepower diesel with 48* pounds of torque. So while you may cut faster on short grass level lawns, mine will be quicker uphill on long grass, and will tow trailers with greater ease. The initial cost of the diesel will be higher as will servicing but fuel use will be lower thus costs might be returned over a period of years depending on hours of use, (DEF is not required) The diesel is only available on upper trim level mowers and lower trim levels to landscape professionals.

* I made this up I have no idea what the torque numbers are.
Nice mower by the way.

same thing out here in Palm Springs, Ca! It’s always hot so windows up and AC on. Then I blast my radio. Then my Nitto MTs hummmmm like a beast! Even if I had an exhaust, I’d never hear it lol.

If ever there was a year when two engines were a draw. It's now, in 2018.

Torque gets the vehicle moving... Score one for the boosters!

Horsepower keeps the vehicle moving... Score one for the 5.0 fans!

1 + 1 = 2 trucks, that beat GM & Ram..!

As a by product, they also tow & haul like champs. Or is it the other way around....

That's ok. My long travel suspension isn't rated to tow over 2,000lb anyway, but it does keep my beer from foaming up with the smooth ride.

Trap speed is horsepower so that makes sense 395 Horsepower for the 2018 5.0 and 375 Horsepower for the 3.5L Eco Boost!! IMO the computer or whatever isn't letting all 470 lb ft of torque leaving the line in my 2017 as the 60ft is a tenth off the 2.7L Eco Boost truck I had launching the same!!Maybe the 2018 5.0 trucks are leaving with all 400 lb.ft of torque!!

My bone stock 2015 Super Cab 4x4 with the 2.7L Eco Boost and 3.55 gears ran a 14.53@92.55 mph and a 14.56@93.07 mph proven with time slips which you don't have sorry!!!My 2015 had the baby motor but the 2017 doesn't!!

Is there really an argument going on comparing track time of trucks?
My Mazda Miata is fairly quick off the line but I'm not going to be pulling a trailer with it.
