Default Anyone regret getting the 3.5 Ecoboost and wish they could trade for a 5.0?

So I bought a brand new 2016 platinum with the 3.5 Ecoboost a month ago and loved it at first, but now wish I had the same truck but with the 5.0. The sound difference is immense. The difference as far as towing or speed is negligible. My truck sounds like a Japanese car when accelerating at highway speeds. Let me know what you all think.

I love my eco boost. I like the power with the quietness. No way would I trade it in for a exhaust note.

These are all reasons I went with the 5.0 this go around. I came from a 2014 3.5 ecoboost. I test drove the new 2017 with the 3.5 and the 10 speed, great engine super fast but I just love the sound and smoothness of the 5.0. Like you said about the towing, to me that wasn't a huge deal I don't tow massive heavy trailers up huge mountain roads daily. If I lived in a high altitude area I would probably have considered the ecoboost much more but being in Texas virtually at sea level it made the 5.0 even more easy to pick. Also seems like now the 5.0 is sort of on the outs so perhaps it will hold a tiny bit more value in resale but who knows about that. I love my 17' 5.0 I can't stop smashing on the gas to hear that baby roar.

Not me.

"The difference as far as towing or speed is negligible." Have to disagree with you there, there's actually quite a big difference.

Hell no. Having driven both the only way I would buy the 5.0 is if it had a Roush supercharger on it.

NOT AT ALL. Had a 4.6 then a 5.0 then a 3.73, Eco now a 3.55 Eco. After the 5.0 Tick issue and the great power in the Eco I would never go back to a V8. The sound is OK but you can buy that in a Eco if you change the exhaust, but not worth it IMO, you will never get this money back.

Ecoboost 3.5 TT, best motor I have owned. No I don't regret it and don't miss the v8 it replaced.

I do but dont. It's something different then I'm used to and I'm fine with it. I do miss the v8 sound tho. But in retrospective the amount of money I put into my truck already I could have super charged the 5.0 and may have said different.
