Anyone regret getting the 3.5 Ecoboost and wish they could trade for a 5.0?

The acceleration compared to all of today's vehicles being built and sold is just plain pokey. The F150, any engine, is barely breaking 6 seconds 0 to 60. The F150 will get smoked by a lot of vehicles in the local stop light grand prixs. Sure, compare it to 50 year old muscle cars and it's pretty competitive. But.. .. What does that accomplish?
Or 13 second pass in a stock F150 for some of the trucks out there too.

After spending 2 yrs with 1st gen 3.5L in a 2016 SCAB 2WD, the only engine choice I would consider to power my 2018 SCREW was another 3.5L engine. Obviously, no regrets on my part on buying a truck equipped with such a potent engine.

I'm coming from a 13 3:55 FX4 5.0. I was going with a 17 5.0 Lariat, but ran across a 17 XLT sport ecoboost in the color I wanted with the double sunroof later in 17. The first eboost I drove felt shuddery and wheezy, because I had to ease along in traffic and the 10 speed kept upshifting for mileage. I never got on it, and never liked it.
When I did drive the truck I eventually bought, I was able to "call on it" a little in traffic, and have liked it more each day.
You have a great transmission in the 6 speed. It is proven. A 5.0 in a '16 or '17 would be a great combo as well, since they have the 6 speed with no auto start/stop.
You have a great truck. If you decide to keep it, put a catch can on it!

In horse racing, all jockeys and gear are weighed and weight is added to the saddle so that all jockeys and gear weigh the same. Bet you do that with trucks and you will find that RCSB wont be as fast as you think, but right there the same as the rest.
Frankly I could case less if it was the 3.5EB or the 5.0, what is in the truck that matters most, as in options, etc. If it had a 5.0, so what, would still buy it, if it had a 3.5EB, so what will still buy it. The only time I feel I would prefer the EB is at high altitude. When I can finally get rid of the POS I have now, first RWD Platinum I can find I will get regardless of which engine it has. If it were a 14 Screw RWD though, a 3.5 with 3.15 would be my choice, loved the scoot my old one had, might not have launched like a 5.0, but it moved faster than one in the passing zone! That thing was a beast!
