I have an order for 2017 F-150 Lariat placed order in Sept. because planning trip to see our Daughter out west and must have by end of the year. here are the responses I get 1. vehicle in production day after day week after week from Ford Customer Service (????) 2. Dealer says f-150 is built and sitting on a lot to be shipped and Ford hasn't. Is there anyone out in ford land that can get me an answer so I can firm up plans to go west The only thing I have now is a window sticker and a vin number 1FTEW1EG1HFA33663.
No sense in checking with them constantly. In my experience, their tracking system is the worst I've ever seen. A truck will be shipped without updating the system, or it'll say it's been shipped but it doesn't actually move until a week later.
When trying to find my particular truck, the dealer was poking around at other dealerships to get the one I wanted shipped to me. Every time they saw one available they'd make the call to have it brought to them and get told that it was sold. One in particular had been sold 3 week prior but was still listed as sitting on a lot at a dealership. Dealers are lazy and don't update their inventory because they're too busy trying to sell the next vehicle.
Maybe Amazon should start selling vehicles. They have awesome shipping and tracking

Did you order the 3.5L with 10 speed? If so, all of those were held up and needed "fixing" before being shipped off. Seems like the early builds (October and November) are being fixed and then sitting, waiting to ship, and the later builds (December) did not need fixing and have shipped and showing up at dealers.
All of the Raptor folks are experiencing the same wait/delay you are.
If you ordered the 3.5L with the 10 speed...then that is your delay.

Subaru and Dodge are the same.
When I ordered my truck in 2015 it was built and sitting at Dearborn for a month. Talk to your sales person and ask they get their regional rep involved to get answers. I kept trying to find out and the dealership kept getting told it was just waiting for shipping. Once the regional rep was involved got the true story that their was an issue on the line the day my truck went through. But a few days later "they got it fixed" and it shipped

From the above post I see you have the 3.5L and 10 speed transmission...and you were built in October.
That is why you are delayed.
Check out Ford Raptor Forum, and the Ford Raptor Gen 2 facebook page. You'll get all of the info you need as to why all of the F150's (normal and Raptors) that have the 3.5L/10 speed are sitting and waiting, because of the transmission issue. The early builds are still sitting (Oct and Nov) while the December builds are already shipping and at dealers.
