It would be nice if you guys actually came here with solutions rather than telling everyone to post on a worthless Ford social site.

I may be a minority but I love nav on this truck. Coming off a Toyota and a benz, ford is many fold better. Agree it is not as good as google and that is why I am waiting on synch upgrade to v2

Hi Cincojoe,

Thanks for the feedback. We're here to provide support for SYNC; however, we are not engineers. We assist with the minor software glitches. It's best to get your voice heard regarding enhancements because our engineers monitor the site for feedback.

For some reason the nav system thinks the curvy route is the quickest and shortest and I have no way to select the other route.
Just curious if you were headed to Cherokee NC? My mft did the same thing to me going there, I took the hwy back, way faster. Mft wanted me to u turn back for a 3rd of the trip till it finally gave up and let me go faster back to I-40. Amazing.

I have the same complaint as the OP.
Sometimes the system thinks a specific road is closed when it's not and then routes based on what it thinks is best.
For short trips, the system works great.
For long trips, the systems works not as great, it may think that there is traffic down the line and want to re-route around it, but by the time you get there the traffic has cleared.

Overall, I still use it and like it and it kicks the crap out of any other brand's factory nav at the moment.

Based on suggestions, I went into the nav settings and turned off always use fastest route and now it allows me to select from multiple routes (menu shows up in the upper right corner) .
