Default Android auto and sync 3.

Has anyone else run into problems with Android Auto on the latest build of Sync 3? I have Google pixel 4 xl that works without issue in a Chevy Malibu and a Hyundai sonata, but using the same cable in a 2018 F150 it will randomly shut off. Tried all the fixes such as clearing caches, deleting and pairing phone again but nothing helps. Is there anyone with this issue that's been able to fix it?

I’ve had my truck (2019) for a couple of months. I’m still getting used to Sync3. The head unit and Android Auto have been randomly glitchy. I haven’t figured out if Sync or Android Auto or my phone are the source(s) of the glitches.

One thing that I miss when using Android Auto is the temperature display. Minor, but I understand it used to be functional.

No issues with AA and my phone now. I did at first, had to get at least 3 different cables before I found one that wasn't glitchy. Sync and cables are really finicky, the same cable that had issues in my F-150 works perfectly in my VW and with AA...

I messed with mine for about a week. Reloaded AA on the phone, master reset on sync, nothing worked. I thought the brand new cable that i have had for awhile was fine. I had taken it out of the package. Nope. Finally dug around the house and found an original Samsung cable.

It worked.

As mentioned, try a quality cable.

I had issues with cheap ones and AA.

Here's the cable I'm using:

Amazon.com: Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB 3.1 Gen2 Cable(3ft), USB-IF Certified for Samsung Galaxy Note 8, S8, S8+, S9, S10, iPad Pro 2018, MacBook, Sony XZ, LG V20 G5 G6, HTC 10, Xiaomi 5 and More: Industrial & Scientific Amazon.com: Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB 3.1 Gen2 Cable(3ft), USB-IF Certified for Samsung Galaxy Note 8, S8, S8+, S9, S10, iPad Pro 2018, MacBook, Sony XZ, LG V20 G5 G6, HTC 10, Xiaomi 5 and More: Industrial & Scientific

If this isn't a quality cable, then what type is everyone else using?

That's a fine cable. Should work no problem. I would suggest doing a reset on the Sync system. Remove all traces of your phone in the Sync settings and then do a reset. On your phone, delete all traces of your Sync system in the Bluetooth settings and start over after all of that.
