Android Auto
My Bluetooth has quit working on my phone. When I connect to Android Auto I can say OK Google call ***. I get the message Bluetooth is not working. I can complete the call but it's through the phone speaker. This is with Sync 3. Does AA still require Bluetooth to make calls and go through the truck speakers?

Android Auto requires the USB to handle 'casting' the screen data from your phone to the head unit. A bluetooth connection is still required for communications.

I'm on the fence with Android Auto. I like most of it but don't like the fact that I don't get alerts of texts and emails. Sync 3 does a much better job at that. Sync 3 voice recognition is awful.
I tried it. But I'm not a huge music fan, and sirus is all we need. We also have a thumb drive with a bunch of music on it. The navigation is good, but even the factory nav is not as good as my Garmin.
I like Google maps and use it alot, but in AA it's capabilities are reduced, so it's not my first choice in the vehicle.
