Android Auto?
I had an 09 Titan and it was the best truck I've ever owned. I agree it was ugly, buy never a single issue with it. The new Titan is an ugly bastard child suck in the middle of 1/2 and 3/4 ton. Has no place and I never buy new model vehicles. Too many problems in the first year to deal with. But the quality of the Nissan was amazing and I hated to get rid of it. I love my new F150... comfortable, seems well built, awesome moonroof and gadgets. I do find myself constantly hoping it's as reliable as my Titan, though. My only prior experiences were older Rangers and they all had quality issues. Only time will tell.
Take your ADD pills!
Titan was not kind on fuel. They are heavy trucks. I had a 2wd crew cab. Averaged around 15-16 mixed driving, 18 on hwy. engine had nice growl, great power and smooth transmission. I'll never have a bad thing to say about it. It was a great truck. Like I said, I could not be happier with my F150. This time, I got the two things I wanted out of the old truck but never had: sunroof and 4x4. Probably would have looked at another Nissan this time around, but the new Titan is just lost in the middle of everything.
Any idea at all regarding timing? My only issue with sync3, so far, is the Pandora music app, which works flawlessly until you go into a store, gas station, Etc and cut the vehicle off for a minute. Upon return, all functionality disappears. You can't change channels, can't fast-forward songs...it is just non-responsive. Not sure of the reasoning, and I know it sounds minor, but I listen to Pandora constantly and it drives me crazy. Also would be great to have Google Maps navigation on my screen.
Regardless, I'm really hoping the Sync 3 update will fix the bugs with applink, on top of bringing AA capability.
What is so great about Japanese vehicles? Toyota has certainly had their share of quality issues in recent years. Nissan have some of the ugliest vehicles on the road. I think this is a regional group think thing. ("Everyone around here drives these so I should too!")

That's what I'm waiting for before I pull the trigger on a truck. I have an iPhone now but would gladly switch back to Android if that's what it takes to get Google Maps on my screen. If I have to wait to buy a 2017 so be it, but I understand guys that already have a 2016 and have been told certain things by Ford.
If Ford doesn't get this working right until a 2017 (or later) model year, I'm almost hoping Nissan or Toyota will update their 1/2 tons with engine choices that get decent mileage by then. It's really hard for me to go back to an "American" vehicle after 10 years of owning Japanese trucks/cars, but the F150 is clearly the best 1/2 ton on the market right now.

I have the same issue with the Spotify app. When I first got the truck it worked flawless - Turn truck off, go into store, turn it back on and it connected right back up. Now I usually have to kill the task on my phone in order for it to start working again. I've reset Sync 3 and my phone to factory but still have the issue. Maybe it was an android/Spotify update that caused it?
Regardless, I'm really hoping the Sync 3 update will fix the bugs with applink, on top of bringing AA capability.

There were reports about the latest update to Spotify causing some changes in the functionality with SYNC. It is best to contact them directly for information on a resolution. Also, the Android Auto feature will be released in an update for our 2016 vehicles with SYNC 3 coming later this year.

I might go back with my next phone. I liked all my Androids a lot better, I just got tired of them running like crap and terrible battery life after 12-18 months. My iPhone 5s is going on 2 years and still runs like new and the battery still lasts a full day. It just can't do everything that the Androids did.
