Default Air Conditioning

We're in the daily 90+ summer temps down here in the south and although I've had my truck for almost 4 years the A/C still impresses me. Even when it's sitting in the sun all day it starts blowing cold air within seconds of startup. It cools down the cabin quickly and quietly even on the highest fan speed. And say what you want about the cooling fans sounding like a jet taking off when they're on high speed; when you're sitting in traffic on a hot day and those fans are roaring to keep the A/C ice cold and the engine cool who the hell cares about the noise.

Good job Ford.

I was talking about the 13th gen trucks. I know the 12the gen trucks had A/C issues but Ford seems to have made up for it on the current trucks.

Both my 2018 and 2020 have excellent AC units. They seem like a walk in refrigerator.

Jet taking off sounds about right. LOL my 19 is same way, surprising how quick it cools down without even driving.

AC is excellent and the cooled seats in my '19 are priceless in our heat/humidity right now. Auto starting before getting in, soooooooo nice and comfy

Coming from an 06 that needed to be running highway speeds to create cold air, this 2017 is like Antarctica at Redlights. Very nice

We have only had a few hot days since I've had this truck. I don't routinely run A/C unless I'm in the vehicle for a while.
Lately, I've had no reason to 'clean up' and go someplace that I didn't want to be sweaty by.

I left the air on low fan speed a few weeks ago during a long trip. It was nearly 100 when I got home but that was only for the last 20 minute or 30 minutes of the couple hours I was traveling. At times it was 80 or below (depending on the elevation I was at).

Anyway, my 1993 black regular cab struggled to stay comfortable. I had it in for warranty checks repeatedly when it was new but it never worked fantastically. That was really the only vehicle I had that type of concern with.
I know the interior fan on these will deafen you if run on high, hopefully it won't come to that. I was on speed 4 for a while a few weeks ago and it gets to you.
But yeah, looking forward for the 100 degree summer heat to see how efficiently this one works in a supercrew.
The cooled seats did also help, I was adjusting that speed and on/off through the road trip day.
We will be over 100 this weekend -possible I'll be out and about for a while.

I haven't even used remote start in the warm weather yet as a test for the A/C during remote start functionality. I can't remember last time I used remote start, actually.
