Wanted to follow up on this …..

found a used that identical to what I’d order new . Has about 10k miles on it. Truck was originally registered/sold in Canada. Is there anything concerning about that? Asked dealer selling it about warranty and they made it sound like there was no difference. But there’s always a chance that’s not entirely accurate. Thanks for all the help

Just make sure to look underneath. I was in the same situation, found the exact truck I wanted, but was from Canada. I crawled underneath and it was cleaner than a lot of brand new trucks on the dealer lots. Definitely shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I think maybe my question wasn’t clear, so apologize for that…..not really concerned with truck being”from” Canada, more along line of anything that might bite me later? Warranty difference, some special xyz exhaust sensor that needs to be installed to get registered here. Something like that ?

Don't think so, Canada original trucks are often resold in the US for a variety of reasons. There isn't anything inherent that is insurmountable or a Big Deal or anything and there are no regulatory gubermint stupid-things (unless maybe you live in Cali then all bets are off and IDK)

As far as I know, the only real difference is low beams will be active for DRL's, which can be changed in forscan if you're feeling frisky. I mean the trucks are still made in the US and then shipped up north.

Most has been said xlt sport 4x4 or maybe an fx4 package would get what you need bit verify max tow package. Get max payload option if you can but not needed based on what you describe.

3.5eco will run well. On the age I might be leery of a truck with under 10k miles per year. On that I would want an an checkup. And I might avoid the 2018 models as they have alot of transmission issues. Of rebuilt trans with proof might be a good buy
