Stay calm they are professionals. They know what they are doing. Believe me the technician wouldn't have done all of that if he didn't need too. Most dealership techs are flat-rate which means they get paid by the hour based on a book time per job. I happen to know that when it comes to pulling dashes out of vehicles and doing electrical diag the tech that is working on it is most likely getting screwed. Mainly because it often takes much more time to do than the book time is allowing. My point is he wouldn't have taken it that far if he didn't think that was what is absolutely necessary. I'm an auto Damage adjuster. I'm very familiar with book times and what goes into pulling a dash from numerous airbag replacements in the shop.

trust me service guy told me how many minutes they have in it and told me the cost of labor already. They got two guys working on it together. I still question myself, was under the hood looked at all. Cuz if so it’s so easy to see what the cause was before gutting my truck. I didn’t look at it myself since it’s under warranty.

The only justification for that level of 'destruction' (ha ha) is if they're replacing the entire harness, rather than repairing the chewed wires. Sometimes full replacement is not the best alternative IMO. A similar decision is when you're hit at the rear quarter panel on most cars. Full replacement means tearing the interior and trunk apart, cutting the fender at the roof, then welding another. When that happened to me, I decided to fix it. Good luck, but I'd almost bet my house it'll never be the same indeed. Just pray that it only has rattles .

They told me they had to gut it all out to test invidual wires and followed the wires that had no power or partial. So I’m just speechless on what to do. My insurance company is paying for the wiring hardness and labor. Do I stay calm and let them handle it all. I just don’t see all that getting put back correctly. There’s so many bolts and parts in my back seat from it all. Sorry for long paragraph.

UPDATE:

got the truck back. Big cut on top of the dash. Marks under steering wheel. Seat cushion not on correctly. Parking brake doesn’t work. Light doesn’t come on when I use it. Heat blows out and after 5-10 min. Blows out more. Right next to my wire that got replaced. There is another wire that has chewing through it and has a wiring hanging by a thread. That’s all I have noticed for last 2 days. Going up there today to talk to manager. Truck will never be the same. Thank you FORD.
its not ford's fault...its the dealer. ford dealers are franchised..individually owned and operated, this is not fords fault its a dealer workmanship issue

If it was so easy to see, why didn't you point it out to them? I get it, it was under warranty and you expected them to fix it. They couldn't find the problem so they just kept digging deeper. Its amazing how often problems can be found just by looking and not doing anything. I have had mouse damage before so that's something I would have looked for. My money is on mice, not squirrels.

As someone already mentioned it's always easy to know it all after the fact!
Now tell me if you could have seen it beforehand and pointed out to the techs, what would you want them to do if the wires continued into the cab? Would you have accepted them to just wrap the chewed wires with electrical tape to insulate them or tear the dash, seats, carpet and so on apart to replace the complete cabling?

Certainly it is a shame, but it is being done, so now await for it to be finished and if you find something is not right, be polite and calm and you'll continue having their dedication to your concerns.
That's what I would do.
Cheers!
