Why all the adds on this forum?

 

Who do you think pays for the expense to run and maintain this website?

Ouch, tough crowd, LOL.

But compared to cable/satellite, which we actually pay for, the ads on here are negligible.

Well with all the pricing, rebates and mileage threads, there's actually a whole lot of adds on here

OP, install an ad blocker.

 

Use Chrome install Add Blocker

makes the website bearable

 

Addblock+ gets rid of some, but not all. I don't mind. Websites with a large amount of activity have a decent cost to them.

To get rid of pretty much all of them add a filter to block the ad element on the website to adblock.

OK, I might have to apologize to the OP.

I just remembered an old thread on this subject, and it seems that some people don't have pop-up blockers.

Those of us that do, don't get to see the obnoxious pop-ups, so we don't see a problem with ad content on this site.

Check your browser settings, and see if you have the ad-blocking settings turned on.

 

I hear 'Add'block plus works well for that

 

Adds really divide your attention, but do multiply revenues for this forum. Substract the adds, and that's equal to no more forum or adding paying members
