I like the A119. Had two of them for a few years in prior vehicles, totally drama free. the F150 is so easy, you can install nice dash cam of your choice like a blackvue, will look just like that one. Gain better res, WiFi so you don’t have to mess with cards. The install is just popping off that single upper cover, using 3 inches of wire and posi-tapping mirror power. It’s literally 15 minutes.

but I’m totally envious of that wire harness

The wire harness in the OP says it is a OBD II T harness. Why would you want to run the camera all the way down there instead of just tapping off the mirror?

oh that sucks. I thought it looked like it paired with the plug in the headliner.

That’s what I thought too. The cable looks awful short.

It's a Thinkware F200 dashcam. https://us.thinkware.com/products-f200/ I installed one in my wifes "19 Edge Titanium. I ordered it from Ford with the rear cam. The wire harness does hook into the OBD2 port and was real easy to route the wires down to the port. It sure beats trying to find a hot and accessory wire to tap into at the fuse box.

The cable is plenty long enough to route down to the OBD2 port. It's basically a "T" harness so you don't lose the OBD2 port. VERY simple to install.

Any negatives to going the mirror tap route?

A119 for the win! It's a great dashcam. I ran my power wire down to the power-point in the center console.

So if I get the A119 and mirror tap it that’s all I have to do? It will come on and turn off by itself? Does it record on a loop or only when a crash is detected? The description wasn’t clear.
