SUCCESS!!! piece of cake actually. I used the diagram another person posted here and its exactly what I needed to do. my factory STX seat harness only has 5 wires in it. the 8 way XLT seat needs 2 more, simply a power and a ground. both wires are in the middle of the 3 row connector. one is on the far end the other to the left middle if your facing the seat connector. I used a jump box and with it on my tailgate brought the seat to life!! love it when something actually works. This seat is gray cloth the STX seats are black of course. This will all be fixed when my leather kit arrives. The side panel with the switches even matches the black that I am going to need the only thing I need to change is the top little grommets that the head rest slides into as they are gray. if the body of the truck was steel I wouldn't even need to run a ground wire. maybe I can tap power from one of the cigarette lighter outlets in the center console. I have the seat adjusted where I want it so, maybe it being unhooked is a good thing, LOL. my factory STX wiring harness plugs right in. I switched over my seat belt latch because it is black and it plugged right in.

for those looking to do this I highly recommend keeping it simple and doing the 8 way power seat. maybe the 10 way is the same who knows but this was a pretty simple upgrade. best of all I paid $225 for the seat. I still have my old seat to sell and even if I just sell the air bag out of it the last one sold for $175 on ebay. I could be into this mod for next to nothing.

The power seat sits about 2" lower when I adjust it down. This seat was out of a 40,20,40 seat truck and it fits just like the original did with my console.
I am having a hard time visualizing where the power and ground wired are at on the 3 row connector. Can you post pics? What wire color is power and what wire color is ground on the connector? Thanks

Bumping this back up. For those that have added the power seat, which spot gets the power and which gets the ground? I see the middle row on the connector does, so thats 14-21. Do you guys recall what # gets which wire? I just bought a 10 way power seat, looking to make this a easy swap. Thanks

Thank you jjconkli!

Here is the info to make it a little easier for someone in the future. This is for 10 way power seats, not sure if the 8 way are the exact same.

I wonder if that will also work on a 12 FX4 Heated/Cooled seat. I have one in my shop that I am going to make a rocker out of.

I can't find any seats anywhere. I have 2018. Don't need both seats power just driver, but for a deal I'll buy both. Someone lead me in the right direction to buy power seats

I suggest car-part.com or LKQonline.com , finding a wrecked 2018 is gonna be hard. I am not sure if the 2015-2017 seats are the same as 2018.

Would somebody who did this install be able to post pictures? My 10-way power seat will be here this week and I'm completely lost on what I have to do. I'm better at doing things after seeing it with my own eyes
