Adding 10-way power seats to XL
 

Has anyone attempted this? I'm adding Katskins leather to my XL STX and I just curious if anyone has swapped the 10-Way power XLT seats in the XL so I can just do power/leather all in one shot. Looks like 10-way power seats frames with switches/harness on the seat run about 400$ a piece. I only see 1 harness going into the seat.

10 way power only requires one harness, KR+ has two, I'll try and look at my diagrams tonight and see what it says

So I found a schematic. It looks like all the seats need is 12v constant and ground? So plug the harness in and wire the 12v and ground desperate and have power seats? Seams too easy. My harness has the yellow-red cable

i would guess that you should just be able to plug in and have it work, there is no "base" seat wiring diagram, only "power" & "memory" with their sub sections

otherwise yes, they only need power and ground to move

I just bought (2) XLT 10 way power seats and attempting the same thing to my 2015 XL.

Yes, please keep me in the loop. Also... where did you purchase yours? I'm still shopping around for the best deal. so far $800 for the pair, its just he frame with buttons/motors/harness.

I got mine on ebay. $600 with shipping air bag included.

I was looking for about 2 months between LKQonline.com and car-part.com.

Not sure why I did not think about that. I was thinking I had to order matching sport/STX seats, but i'm transferring the cushions and adding leather so I guess it doesn't matter since all I need is the frame. Big help dude, expands my search ability. I also did not think about bench seats....

I far as I can tell there is no difference between the "bench" and "captain" seats. I am going to try to figure out the seat heaters to get them to work but plan on moving my vinyl seat covers from the XL over to the XLT seats.

The main reason I bought an XL was vinyl seats and floors. I hate cloth!
