Add a tailgate step?

I looked at both a while back. The Amp research looks like a easier install. Not that the install is that difficult for either

It happened to a friend - he "lost" his F350 tailgate one night (midnight auto parts-n-all).
His insurance replaced it......with a F150 tailgate.
It no longer said SUPER DUTY on it.
He complained - no good.
IT seems a tailgate is a tailgate.
HE was Annoyed!
BTW - there are tailgate locks you can get that encloses the Keyed side of the hinge point.
Likle this OR as simple hose clamp will at least slow down a midnight thief!
