So it sounds like it could be tricked with a vin from a truck that has ACC, at least if I wanted to make sure it has the latest calibration files loaded, but then go back and edit the hex part of the vin with Forscan later. Just make sure that none of the other modules are touched in IDS when it's done, or there will be trouble I'm sure. lol

I've learned that you can manually download all the calibration files from ford, and IDS tells you exactly what ones you need.

edit: I've ordered all the parts needed to do the ACC mod, so I'm going to try all the above for the ACC module. I like living on the edge.

Maybe, but im not sure i'd go through it when you can just write the 5 or 6 lines with forscan and be good to go.

But im certainly no expert with ids either. I can get around and do what i need to do, but thats about it.

Its the ccm module by the way, not acc.

You need to intialize the ccm, then change some values in the sccm, ipc, bcm and abs modules. I think thats it, i'd have to check my notes to be certain and im away from home for the next couple days. Ive already sent my notes to livnitup and they should show up on the forscan excell doc after he confirms them.

So is the distance sensor the CCM? I thought there was already a CCM in the truck that ran the regular cruise control?

edit: Nevermind. Now i'm tracking.

Took it for a drive tonight. Works like a charm.

Trigger has been pulled and parts have been ordered! Except I ordered FL3Z-15K867-E for my 5.0 wiring harness. I hope all the forscan mods are posted by the time I get my parts. Hoping to sneak the calibration in when I am due for the 10k service/oil change.

Default Question for those with IDS

For those with IDS. Grasping at straws a bit but wondering if the IDS sets one of the values we could set with FORSCAN in order to trigger the calibration mode. Would it be possible to do a module backup, trigger the calibration and then do another backup so we could figure out what that value is? Sorry if a stupid question but would be awesome if didn't even need forscan for calibration!
