10-4. Hadn't thought about that. I just stuck my tester probes into the two wire connector and got 14v

Update:
Purchased a new AC clutch from R&Y Ac compressors. Installed and had air conditioning for about 15 minutes..... now it's blowing the 10a ac clutch fuse. I didn't have a feeler gauge for the clutch gap but kept adding the supplied shims until it was smooth and not dragging. Any ideas on if my install could be an issue? Could I have been sent a bad clutch? First time replacing one so I'm learning as I go.

Ford service just called me. Dropped off my truck yesterday because I have of no AC! Service mgr said the compressor was froze up so they will have install a new one tomorrow. He also said the belts are getting a tad worn and stretched so they will install new ones at no charge. My ESP doesn’t cover belts as it’s considered a consumable but he’d said he would get it covered for me. I have a 100 dollar deductible so that should be my total bill. He said a new compressor installed by the dealership would be around 1500 to 1800 dollars... whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....... My ESP has saved me over 4 grand in repair bills and cost me 1300 bucks! I know lots here say they aren’t worth it and if you never need it they are correct. Truck is 7 years old and stuff does break and require repairs. I enjoy the peace of mind knowing I’m not going to get drilled every time it requires repairs. I’ve reached the age where I no longer look forward to working on anything major to repair mine!

So dealer called yesterday and the AC was repaired (new compressor and new belts) but the service tech noticed my oil pan was leaking! lol This is the dreaded leaking plastic pan (3rd time) but oh well. Service said Ford has an updated PLASTIC POS pan that has an attached gasket so no RTV is needed? HAHA... Anyway I said fine replace the pan but MAKE SURE you replace the underside diaper which I’m sure is full of oil. They said that part is not covered under ESP but will make an exception and install a new one. They are a very good dealership so there is that. So I got a new compressor, belts and replaced oil pan which is all covered under ESP! My total bill is 100 bucks which I can handle. I’d hate to pay for this out of pocket as the bill it’s more than double what my extended ESP cost me last year. They will have had my truck 4 days to complete the repairs.

Talked to the service mgr who told me the oil pan still requires RTV even with the ford gasket being used? LOL I’ll see how long this one lasts but I have my doubts this update will correct the leaking oil pan problem very long. I’ve got another 2 years on my ESP so they can just keep replacing the oil plastic POS instead of switching to what should be on there which is a metal pan. Busy tomorrow so I’ll pick it up Saturday morning.

AC working fine all summer, but after the first time towing with it last weekend the ac stopped working. I don't hear the compressor kicking on, dash air is blowing hot, cooing fans running at a low speed. Thought it needed a charge, but when I hook on the bottle and gauge on low side it spikes to almost 100psi and doesn't change. Tried replacing the cooling fan relay but no change. AC fuse is good. Looked thru hours of videos and threads but other than taking it into a mechanic I'm about out of answers.... any ideas of something a shade tree mechanic could try? Thanks Seth
Hello. Are you still experiencing this concern with your AC? If so, I would like to look into it on my end. Please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer.

As predicted that F’ing oil pan has already started leaking again! Lasted 11 days... lol... Whatever pan improvements Ford did not only didn’t work it seems to have made it worse. Noticed a nice 2 ft round oil spot on my blacktop driveway this afternoon. Looked underneath and sure as heck the underside is all nicely oil coated!!! So back in the shop it will go for a couple of days for another new oil pan. This is TOTAL BS because if Ford allowed the dealer to replace the plastic POS pan with aluminum it would solve the problem. Thank god I have an ESP plan because it’s almost a grand to replace one of these POS plastic pans..... However the inconvenience of leaving it at the dealership is really getting old. Based on this leaking problem I’m afraid this will be my last Ford truck. The leak I can understand but the unwillingness of Ford to fix the GD thing properly is total crap imo. There is no mystery how to properly fix it but obviously they don’t give a flying F about their customers.
