Default 4x4 Problem

Ok so I was hunting this morning and we got 5 or so inches of snow last night and today. I pulled in the ditch to park and when I tried to pull out I was stuck. My truck was already in 4x4 and whenever the wheels would slip the message on the dash would read 4x4 temporarily disabled. I tried it with the diff lock on in 4wd low high his name it. Luckily for me I was able to get pulled out by a Good Samaritan. When I got home I tried backing up in my driveway and I was stuck there too on flat ground. I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on, there's gotta be an issue with my 4wd system. Anyone able to help?

That is quite concerning! What are the stats on your vehicle? Build date etc?

I'm guessing you try disengaging 4X and reengaging? Also did you see how many wheel were actually slipping just the back or front and back? Is it possible the front was never engaged.

It was built like 3 weeks before my delivery date if I recall and most my stats are in my signature.

Looking back I switched from 2wd to 4wd going at like 40 mph but if that was too fast to engage shouldn't it have engaged when I stopped. I never tried going back to 2wd just changed from 4A to 4H etc. I'm going back out hunting here in a bit ill have to try it again and see. I could clearly tell the front wheels weren't engaging on my driveway as only the back wheels were spinning in reverse and I was literally stuck in 5" of snow.

I called the service dept and they said it'll do that in 4A but shouldn't in 4H. Hope this doesn't become an issue

It is on the door sticker of the drivers side door. It will show something like DATE: 4/15 it will be on the top of the sticker.

I believed that the front are locked by an air line. I wonder if there is a problem with the line. I believe it is a small black line that goes from the back of the hub on each side up to the engine bay. I know the lines are delicate. It's possible it happened when your lift was put on or is something that was always broken and you just found out. Time for a trip to the dealer it sounds like.

Def take it into the dealer then, at least it's covered under warranty.
