Push he 360 button when going forward. It works I believe under 5 mph. Used it this morning

 

I set the backup camera delay on and it helps me with what you are dealing with. When I pull in the garage, I bump it in reverse to just have the rear camera pop in and then with the delay, I can make sure I pull the rear in far enough to clear my garage. That's my work around anyway

 

Do what my parents do with their old 1980's merc benz. They tied a nut to a string and hung the string from the ceiling down to the point right above the emblem on the hood of the car. When they parked it inside they drove right up to that string and as soon as it touched they knew the back was fully in. No need to fiddle with cameras once it's all measured and laid out for your garage. Elsewhere this wont work

If you will go into the settings on the main (center display), you can turn on the camera "delay" I think it is called. I initially thought that meant it would delay the camera coming on when shifting into reverse, but after reading the manual, I found out it's just the opposite. When you turn the delay on, the camera (reverse and 360) stays on until the truck gets about 5-6 mph going forward. I turned it on and really like it. If you back up first and then pull forward, the main view stays on reverse, but you can reach up and touch the 360 button once and it will switch to the front camera. I have to back up and pull forward to get into my garage and it works great. I assume if you put it into reverse a second time, the camera would switch again to the back, but I haven't tried that.

On a side note, I think the dotted lines on the 360 display line up on the ground with the outside edges of the side mirrors. I would like to get out in the driveway and chalk those lines on the ground using the display to see just how much room you do have. I know when you turn the front wheels, you can see them show up on the display. I have to fold my mirrors to get in my garage and I line up the dotted lines with the bottom edge of the side of my steps and it has worked fine so far.

Personally I think the cameras were worth every penny.

 

You can be sure that if the front camera stayed on at higher speeds some idiot would try to drive by looking at instead of out the windshield and you can imagine the end result.

 

Thanks for the help.... I found the delay ant that helps. If I could change one thing I would have the camera change from the back to the front when I go from reverse to drive. Can anyone tell me if the Lockpick will do this? I also think the 360 camera is pretty sweet. It was a big reason for choosing the truck.

I have also just started backing into spots and my garage as its almost easier with a 158” wheel based truck.

 

I wish the 360 degree button was on the steering wheel within thumbs reach.

 

I din't even think of that, but now that you mention it, that would be awesome! Maybe next years model. The 360 camera is a great feature. I don't think I could get in my garage without it.

 

I know I've stumbled on this setting playing around but looking for it specifically... for the life of me I can't find it. Can anyone help by providing the detailed location of this setting?

Love all this tech but darn easy to get lost the way settings are scattered around. Not always very intuitively...
