Default -25 offset wheels driveAble?

Hey guys... just a quick question . I have 20x 10 wheels with -25 offset that will have 33x12.5 tires on them on a 2015 screw with a 2.5" front level.

The tires come in tomorrow and I really want to get them put on the truck but I didn't have time to spread my crashbars yet.

My question is can I have the wheels/tires put on by the shop and will it be driveable until I have time to spread the crashbars possibly this weekend? Or should I wait and spread them before having the wheels put on.

Thanks for any help!

20x10 wheels with a negative 25 offset and only a level, spreading the crash bars might not be enough. They can only be spread so far before they hit the fog lights.

20x10 wheels with a negative 25 offset is more suitable for lifted trucks

I will guarantee you won't clear that with spreading the crash bars. I've got 20x10-18 with 33x12.5, spread my crash bars, and still occasionally rub on an incline. I had 20x10-19 to start with (finish issues and warrantied through Discount Tire), those rubbed a little more often than my -18's do now. You'll have to cut the bars out, or change wheels. My recommendation would be to change your wheels. For reference, this is how a 20x10-18 with 33x12.5's look on a level.

I also vote for changing the wheels to something more appropriate and keeping the crash bars uncut.

I definitely won't be returning the wheels or tires as that would be a huge pain in the ***. I guess I'll have to cut the crash bars out :/. Could've sworn through my research that spreading the would've been enough, maybe I should've went with a 10" wide tire. I really like how the -18 with 12.5 looks in the picture. I would imagine the -25 would only stick out a bit more which I think I'll
Like.

It will be hard to cut the bars out without knowing how much of the bars to cut... or do people usually just cut them all the way out

Kind of disappointed that I'll have to do this, was hoping to keep them for peace of mind.

It won't be that big of a deal to return wheels. Any good wheel dealer should have a return policy for situations like this.

You'll likely have to cut all of them off, and even then you may catch the bumper, but I can't guarantee that. I didn't feel comfortable cutting mine out after watching overlap video with/without them. That wheel will be in your cab if you get in that type of wreck without the bars. That's why I kept mine and just spread them. You're welcome to do what you want, personally I would return the wheels for the peace of mind.

Definitely recommend not cutting the crash bars out, if you care even a hint about you and your passengers safety. Maybe get a narrower tire? Something under 11" may work, like 275/60/20 or even 275/65/20.

Plus when you sell the vehicle or trade it in, you can be legally liable if something happens to that person due to cutting crash bars. Or any subsequent owner.
