Hello F150 pukes! I picked up a 2020 Lariat a while ago - its a wonderful truck - flawless operation and performance (well, almost).
My issue today is access to (reaching into) the bed, to pickup groceries, cold beer, etc. I am a tall man, about 6-1, and I have to stand on my tip toes to reach most things in the bed.
Ford has molded in some recesses in the sides os the bed, that can be used to elevate your goodies. And if I was adventurous, I could build a simple platform from good plywood, to raise things up. Does not need to be waterproff or theft proof, just a temporary carrying space. But I dont want to built it myself.
Any thoughts on a commercial solution for less than 500$ ??
TIA Dave
PS I scoured the web for at least 15 minutes, and could not find a solution.
The only riser-like thing that I've seen commercially is the Decked system, was told $2000 Canadian last year at a 4wheelparts. Doubt you'd be able to find anything useful for $500, it doesn't go very far anymore.
Took a sheet of plywood and some 2x4s and made my own instead that works better than a decked in my use case (camping, and elevating my beer).
I keep one of those 4-tine rakes in the truck for reaching things in the bed. You'd need some sort of box to set the groceries in though. Otherwise they'd unload themselves on the way home. Of course I'm 20 miles from the store. You're likely closer.
