2019 Sync issues
Hey guys
2019 F150 Lariat
Recently my sync system has been acting up. Few years back I updated to Sync 4 and it has been working relatively issue free for the past few years but since about 2 weeks ago it has really started acting up.
Every time the car is started it asks me if I want to turn on auto updates and sync diagnostics as well as a few other messages, no matter what I hit, it will ask me again at the next start up. Sometimes my backup camera will also not switch back when I take the car out of reverse, I also noticed that it also takes longer than I think it should when shutting down etc etc.
My first thought was to do a factory reset, but when I try that, it just freezes up and does nothing. I tried disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes and that did nothing.
It's been quite a while since I did the sync update, so I'll have to do some research to refresh my memory on that process but I don't know if maybe redoing that may be of help.
Any suggestions?

It's not the Sync update. Software working fine for a couple years and suddenly doing weird things is the least likely cause. You're seeing the symptoms of something else... could be battery going bad. Just slightly low voltage can cause all sorts of weird electronic problems in these vehicles.
woops, yea my bad, that's what I meant. Been a while since I did the update

So I guess this confirms my original suspicions.
Time for a new battery again I guess
