I somehow missed your question a while back. The screen look is a little different, but I really didn't notice any functional difference. I already had the latest maps, and so that part did not update on mine like it does on others who do not have the most recent maps version. I am sure there are some differences that I have overlooked, as I really don't spend much time playing with it, but I like to have the most recent software versions when I can. Check the 3.4 upgrade thread for much more information than I can provide, as there are several guys on that one that know a ton of info on these versions and build differences.

There is another thread here with detailed information on it. That is where I got the downloads and info on how to do it. If you do it, be aware that you could cause your sync system to crash and not recover, so read through all the info and consider it before you decide. This is the thread, Upgrade Sync 3 V3.0 to V3.4 instructions. Be prepared for a long read, lol.
