I have a question about my 2018 STX maybe somebody can help me with. On my 2005 F150 when I unlock the truck my headlights would come on if it was dark out and stay on for a good couple minutes. On this new STX when I unlock the truck the parking lights Flash and stay on for maybe 2 or 3 seconds and then go off is there a feature that I need to turn on so the headlights stay on when I unlock the truck and it's dark out what is this truck not have it. My lights are set to Auto so when driving the lights automatically come on when it's dark enough however when it's dark out and I unlock the truck the headlights do not come on at all just a parking lights and they only come on for two or three seconds.

 

no ford did away with that feature.

 

When I unlock, my interior lights and park lights come on, but they stay on a lot longer than 2 or 3 seconds. Not sure if you have a setting changed or not.

 

yeah mine go out pretty quick...I have looked every where and can't find anything...my lights dial is turned to the right for auto but can't find anything else for that. Like I said the parking lights do come on but not for very long.

 

If the truck has this feature than it would be in the cluster under Settings> Vehicle> Lighting

 

I have a 2015 XLT and only my parking lights come on when I unlock the truck. They stay on after I shut the truck off, but I changed the setting from the default 20 seconds to 2 minutes.

 

That is the place, but not sure if the STX even comes with this option. Mine is a XLT 302a pkg and in the cluster you can pick between 10 - 20 - 120 seconds. Unlocking the truck, it will light up interior, park lights, tailgate light for whatever time it's set at.. The headlights are not on.

I have a 2017 XLT 302A and as long as I leave the headlights on Auto the headlights stay on for the specified time

so do your headlights come on when you unlock your truck?
