2018 F150 indicator warning problems
Hows it going everyone? I'm new here and I was wondering if any of you guys ran in to the same problem's I'm having with my 2018 F150. So here's a little INFO about my truck, Its A white super cab 5.0, 10 speed, 3.55 gears with a E-locker with just over 8500 miles and I owned this truck for 5 months now. The dealership is aware of the problem but they wont have a loaner vehicle until later next week so it will be in the dealership here shortly. So I told them I'm hearing that type writer sound when the truck is cold which I know there's a TSB out for the problem, I got a recall for the door latch so when I take it in I told them I want to get that taken care of and they said OK. My truck sent my phone a warning saying charge system fault and malfunction indicator lamp regulatory and when that happen I was in my truck and the low battery notification popped up on the gauge cluster screen so I started the truck and it fired up just fine. The truck was parked and I had it on AUX to listen to music while getting ready for work and the truck was on AUX for maybe 5 mins. On 10/1/2019 when arriving to work and turning my truck off and placing it in aux mode to listen to music while getting ready for another day of work I had a few warning notification pop up on the gauge cluster screen but this time there was 4 warning's. 1ST warning was engine over heating and once I saw that I looked at the mechanical gauges on the top row of the cluster and everything looked fine. 2nd warning was BLIS was not working, 3RD warning service ABS, 4TH warning parking break not working. Once that happen my radio stopped working and disconnected my phone from blue tooth so once that happen I clicked the home button on the navigation screen and it would not let me click any of the audio options. I then looked back at my gauge cluster screen and noticed my odometer went to all 0's then -'s. I turned the truck completely off and fire the truck up to see if it will start which it did and it ran like nothing was wrong with it. I was wounder if any of you guys had any idea of what could be wrong with my truck or if any of you ran in to this problem or something similar. When I called the dealership they made it seem like it was no big deal so I'm hoping it just needs a re-flash or worse case replace some sensors.
Thanks

Ohhhhhh, you got gremlins! I'd bet you have a failing module like the BCM or something else significant or at least I hope that's all that's wrong. Just for giggles, have you checked to make sure your battery cables and everything else bolted to them are tight? Probably are if you have no starting issues.
Not a problem and I truly hope you get it ironed out, I'd be more than a little upset if my new truck starting acting like it is. Please keep us all posted as to the solution if you would. And once you get it fixed get FORScan and add some new functionality to your scooter!
I got my truck back today and they only had it for 2 days. So once I picked up my truck the service manager got the mechanic that worked on my truck to go over the concerns and issues I was having. The mechanic said that "type writer" sound is from the injector pump's. The 2018 5.0 and up F-150's have 2 pumps one for low and one for high pressure so they have a total of 16 injectors. They could not make the truck duplicate the electrical problem so they could not fix that issue. They said they had a few codes pop up and cleared them but it was nothing to make the computer freak out like it did. The mechanic contacted ford and he was told they only heard of one other problem like what I'm having but that other truck was tossing up different warnings messages. They told me hopefully its a fluke which I hope that's all it was but either way they said I should document it if it happens again or anything with the electrical's freaking out with pictures and video's if possible. They went ahead and put a claim in with ford so worst case scenario if it continues to happen I may have a lemon on my hands. Thanks for the tip IGGY i just downloaded the FORScan app on my phone.

Keep us posted. Now that you have FORScan you need one of these>>>>> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And reference this>>>>>>> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=815852466 And be sure to go here>>>>>>> https://www.motorcraftservice.com/qu...es/quickguides and get your as-built to keep as a reference. Be sure to do a backup of your original calibration before you even get started in case you need to return to stock for whatever reason.
Thanks

Yes, works perfectly and a little faster than the other one I have with the switch. Nice to not have to mess with the switch for sure and Livinitup recommended this adapter, can't argue with him on this stuff too much.
