It's not that bad and causing an accident almost? Really? I can picture that, and it is pretty amusing. Can't figure out how to get the truck on so you can turn LOL. You dummy.

The old timer's and change.....

I completely agree. It’s smooth and seamless as can be and if you pay a little bit of attention, you soon learn how to control it a bit.
I’ve actually noticed that it’s the same group of people who say that the EcoBoosts will never take off, and that the V8 is the only possible engine for a truck, who are claiming that the auto start/stop is no good and will soon be abandoned. Luddites?

Really? I love my 3.5l EB and loath the A.S.S. I have it permanently disabled with ForScan.
Maybe that means I am only a Luddite Lite?
(Just don't confuse me with a hoplophobe!)

Some people dislike it legitimately. Most that can careless about gas savings or if it's a performance vehicle are understandable. The ones that hate it because they can't control it are the ones I believe were referenced.

I have driven a couple of new trucks with auto start/stop it is a little odd to begin with but after driving them for a little bit no big deal. Certainly wouldn't keep me from owning one.
The do this at every single traffic light and stop sign as well, and multiple times in slow traffic?

Just wait till you need a Starter for a stop/start vehicle down the road. LOL. Cha ching. There goes all the gas $ you saved all those years!

Exactly. The system is a joke during the summer months. This is what eventually forced my hand to implement the full disable of *** with FORscan. When I got my truck in January, running the heat, it was tolerable, if not almost unnoticeable. I'll give Ford kudos on how well it is implemented into the driveline...

Summer rolled around, and WTF!?! It kills the A/C at EVERY stoplight. Not only does the compressor (clearly) stop, but it also spins the blower down to a lower speed. The cabin temp would jump 7-10 degrees F before the engine would kick back on. I'm sorry, but that is not acceptable.

If Ford wanted *** to be a true year-round system they should have not programed the blower to spin down, and gone with a secondary electric compressor, or at least made the stop algorithm less aggressive when there is a call for A/C. My comfort isn't worth $3 bucks of gas annually. Peace out ***.

The comment I replied to was 2015RubyFx4 saying that Ford was losing sales because of the auto stop/start. They're not NO votes, they're YES votes. They purchased a truck.

You just proved MY point, not his.

I had it in our previous vehicle (Acura MDX) and have it in our '18 F150....I wasn't a huge fan of it in the MDX implementation but in the F150 it's much better. You don't even notice it the majority of the time and if you do care about mileage it does seem to make a difference when driving local roads and stop n go traffic.

I get it, you hate it.. do some research will you. It's been on the market since 2010, they beef up the starter components to handle it.
The comment you made about your circle of friends in car clubs that sold there cars because of it is absurd, most car club enthuiast know a thing or two about mechanical aspects of vehicles so 1. Why did they buy the car to begin with and 2. Are they that bright they didn't know any of the multiple ways to disable it.
what else ya got?

Impossible! What you experienced is not real dont you know,. When I brought that up a few pages back I was told I full of it and had not clue. AC cannt work with out the compressor making pressure
