Waiting to see what the 2018's look like. I love the 2017 250's but don't need a truck that big.

You joke but honestly if they made an electric truck that couldn't tow a cardboard box I'd be fine with that. A lot of us don't buy trucks for towing or anything that is even remotely related to "work".

Some of us just like the way trucks look and feel, I like that it has just as much space if not more than an SUV not counting third row seating and trunk space, and having the bed for occasional use is great.

So if they could give me a 30mpg truck or even an electric pickup I'd be the first in line if I didn't already own a truck, I currently own a Tesla Model S and thought about getting a Model X but instead I bought an F150. My decision to buy a truck has nothing to do with MPGs but if they give me great gas milage why wouldn't I take it? I mean, if I don't need to tow anything why make a decision that's only going to cost me more money everytime I fill up the tank? Do I really want to pay more just for the sound of the engine? Honestly, the complete lack of sound on my Model S is the best sound of all, silence. The reason I purchased the 2.7 engine was because I didn't need an engine any bigger, I will admit the sound of a V8 is amazing but it's just not necessary to have.

I know most of you will say "then don't buy a truck".... and to that I say, trucks provide way more convenience than just towing a carrying heavy loads, everyone has different needs, and the fact that Ford continues to cater to the average consumer probably means they see a far larger consumer base beyond that of the average "working" man.

PS I will Lincoln was still making trucks, specially with the new designs they have

Ecoboost V8 would be a cool addition!.. lol. I was hoping maybe they would throw a set of turbos on the new 4.8L direct/ multi port injected V8...

I do think thy need to get the engines down to 2. It's a killer to find the truck you want 100% and when I was shopping back in '98 I often found what I wanted but with wrong engine and there was only the 4.6 and 5.4.

I think that the v8 shud be gone. The new 3.5 can make sick power. But the v8 will linger for nostalgia.

i think the 2.7 and 3.5 is plenty, then go super duty for anything else. (5.0 EB anybody?) 😜

Since I hurt my back and sold my "toys" I have no need for very powerful trucks anymore.

I would love a "city" truck that did great on gas but was used for hauling trash to the dump and leaves to the landfill, its my trucks main uses now.
